All public schools in the United States are eligible to receive
funding through the Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities Act
of 2001 (SDFSCA). You can use these funds to pay for Pride Surveys.
Many states and the federal government require the data that Pride
Surveys provide you at low cost and little effort.
For more information on SDFSCA funds, contact the U.S. Department
of Education or your state education agency. (Note: links will open

School systems have found success in joining forces with the private
sector. After all, Pride Surveys demonstrate that negative behaviors
like drug use and carrying guns are most common after school.
Some unusual ideas?
Ask your parent organization or local business to assume the cost.
Consider asking a local newspaper or television station to share
the cost. The media is constantly seeking local stories. You’ll
be surprised how this could improve your overall media relations.
Reach out to your chamber of commerce or development authority.
Your students might show lower than average negative behaviors –
a major consideration when recruiting new employers to your community.
Combine efforts with a community coalition, civic organization
or foundation. The following links might be helpful. (Note: links
