How much time will it take for students to complete the questionnaire? The Grades 6-12 questionnaire can be administered in 40-50 minutes – only a portion of one class period. Other questionnaires require even less time. Do I need special equipment for students to complete the questionnaire? No, regular #2 pencils are all that the students will need.
Will I need to train the teachers of my school on how to administer the questionnaire? The questionnaire is designed for easy use. You may want to review the steps with your teachers at a faculty meeting prior to administering the questionnaire. Instructions for administering are included with your order. Will my students tell the truth on the survey if they feel disclosure would lead to consequences? By following instructions for administering the questionnaire, the students’ anonymity and confidentiality are protected.
How do I know if the students are telling the truth? The Grades 6-12 questionnaire has a built-in lie detection system. When answers to questions indicate that a student is not being honest (eg, contradicting answers to similar questions), the software eliminates the questionnaire. How long will it take before I get results of the survey? Your complete results are returned within two weeks after your completed questionnaires arrive at our office.
Why is there only one survey for students in grades 6 though 12 when behaviors of a sixth grader are very different from behaviors of a 12th grader? The differences in behaviors for students in grades 6-12 are significant. By using one questionnaire we can validate the difference and assist schools in tracking the difference. Also, the use of one instrument is helpful in developing trend data and allows for analysis between the grade levels. I would like to use the Pride Questionnaire with my sixth grade students. Should I use the 4-6 Questionnaire or the 6-12 Questionnaire? Use the 4-6 Questionnaire if your school has a combination of grades 1-6 or 4-6. If your school has grades above 6th, use the 6-12 Questionnaire.
