Cincinnati coalition celebrates its success At its 10th anniversary luncheon this week, the Coalition for a Drug Free Greater Cincinnati had a great deal to celebrate. Since 2000, among 7-12th grade youth in the Greater Cincinnati area:
The Cincinnati coalition also honored one of its co-founders, Ohio First Lady Hope Taft. At the well-attended luncheon in the Hilton Netherland Plaza, the coalition released the results of its bi-annual survey of 53,000 students in 10 Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana counties. The survey is facilitated by Pride Surveys. According to the coalition, data collected through the survey has been used to leverage $14 million in local, state and national funding to expand targeted drug prevention and treatment programs in the tri-state area. On that day the U.S. House will mark up its version of the Labor, HHS and Education Bill. If you are concerned about the future of the program, take a minute to visit CADCA's Legislative Action Center. Your Member of Congress needs to hear from you ASAP. For the first time in four years, we have been forced to raise the price of some survey products. But if you place an order by June 30, you can avoid the increase, and still use your survey instruments through the 2006-07 school year.
