Drug Abuse Dissertation Research Grants

Several doctoral students have written dissertations that relied upon data from the Pride Surveys Archival Database, which contains the responses of more than 10 million students, parents and faculty members from across the United States.

Up to $50,000 per year is available through the National Institutes of Health's (NIH's) Drug Abuse Dissertation Research grants, which support doctoral dissertation research in epidemiology, prevention, treatment, services, and women and sex/gender differences.

Drug Abuse Dissertation Research grants will be funded for up to two years. The applicant must belong to an accredited doctoral degree program in the behavioral, biomedical, or social sciences. All public, state, and private institutions of higher education capable of providing the proper facilities and staff for this research are eligible to apply.
